GPT-4 Takes on Images with Latest Vision Upgrade

OpenAI's GPT-4 has taken a major step forward with the introduction of GPT-4 Turbo with Vision, a new capability that allows the model to understand and analyze images. This breakthrough is the latest in OpenAI's ongoing efforts to scale up deep learning and enhance GPT-4's capabilities. GPT-4 Turbo with Vision enables users to instruct GPT-4 to analyze image inputs provided by the user. This opens up a wide range of possibilities for applications in areas such as image classification, object detection, and image-based question answering. In addition to the new vision capabilities, GPT-4o is now available in the API as a text and vision model. GPT-4o is 2x faster, half the price, and has 5x higher rate limits than the previous version of GPT-4. This makes it more accessible and cost-effective for developers to build applications with GPT-4. The integration of vision enhancements into GPT-4 Turbo with Vision is not supported for Azure AI specific versions of GPT-4. This means that users who wish to utilize the new vision capabilities must use the general-purpose version of GPT-4.
